Freedom Singers Share the Message of Homelessness on AGT
Freedom Singers, a collective of eight core members from Los Angeles, auditioned for America’s Got Talent with a gospel rendition of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ early ’90s hit “Under The Bridge.”
The singers have lived in the impoverished side of LA known as “Skid Row,” and performing together is one way to lift the spirits of the homeless and destitute.
Freedom Singers came together in the Arts and Culture department at the LA Community Action Network (LA CAN), an organization that exists to help the needy.
The judges were impressed by their powerful voice and message, earning them four yeses and high praise from the judges and host Terry Crews.
Freedom Singers auditioned for AGT to bring their message to a wider audience and to give a voice to homelessness.
