Chadwick Boseman and Dr. Dre Among the New Inductees

Late actor Chadwick Boseman and rapper Dr. Dre are among the new inductees for the Hollywood Walk of Fame's Class of 2024.

Selected by a committee of past honorees, the new class was ratified by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's board of directors.

Star ceremonies dates for the new inductees have not yet been scheduled.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is set to honor these accomplished individuals.

Honorees Chosen from Radio, Entertainment, and Music Fields

The Class of 2024 inductees were chosen from various fields of the entertainment world, including radio, entertainment, and music.

Def Leppard, Toni Braxton, and Darius Rucker are notable honorees in this year's lineup.

The Walk of Fame recognizes honorees in six categories: motion pictures, television, live theater/live performance, radio, recording, and sports entertainment.

Upcoming star ceremonies are usually announced 10 days prior to the dedication on the official website.

Recipients Have Two Years to Schedule Star Ceremonies

Recipients of the Walk of Fame have a two-year window to schedule their star ceremonies from the date of selection.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Walk of Fame Selection Panel have yet to schedule dates for the respective ceremonies.

Since its inception in 1960, the Hollywood Walk of Fame has become a world-famous tourist attraction, boasting more than 2,700 stars.

Honorees on the Walk of Fame receive a high-profile honor in recognition of their contributions.
